A very small non-confidential snippet of my offer letter for my new job!
After months of searching for my next role, I finally was blessed with an amazing opportunity to combine all of my interests from the past three years into one career - the music business.
Every quarter previously, when I was applying to internships and jobs in my fields of study (information systems and operations & supply chain management), I also was applying to jobs and internships in the entertainment industry.
However, I rarely talked about or put up much hope that I'd get them - after all, it wasn't exactly what I was studying. But, I did! Finally! After literal weeks of making applying to post-grad jobs my full-time job with school and my previous position, I finally landed an opportunity to work in the industry I'd been secretly longing for this whole time.
Despite not talking about it often, the confidence I had to apply for these types of jobs came primarily from my experiences I've had in the honors program. I've learned that you don't always have to be the expert on something to speak or have an opinion, no one expects you to know everything immediately, and that, if you are good at collaborating, you can pretty much do anything you set your mind to.
I'm so grateful for my time in the honors program and how it has given me the confidence, tools, and empowerment to start this next phase of life!
